Immediate Results. Better Care Decisions. No Extra Visits.

Vitality Urgent Care offers comprehensive on-site lab testing to diagnose and treat illness in real time, right during your visit. All tests are performed when medically necessary and ordered by your provider.

Rapid PCR Testing – Fast, Reliable, and In-Clinic

We prioritize advanced RT-PCR testing to identify respiratory and infectious illnesses quickly and accurately. This molecular panel detects multiple respiratory pathogens from a single sample, with results available in under one hour. Ideal for patients with fever, cough, or viral symptoms especially children, older adults, or those with chronic conditions.

BioFire® SPOTFIRE respiratory and throat panel is  fast, in-clinic test that helps us find the cause of sore throats, fevers, and coughs with one quick swab.

Viruses Detected:

  • Adenovirus – A common childhood virus causing sore throat, pink eye, or fever that does not need antibiotics.
  • Seasonal Coronaviruses (229E, NL63, OC43, HKU1) – These mild cold viruses are not COVID-19 and resolve with rest and fluids.
  • COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) – The virus behind COVID-19; testing helps prevent spread and guide isolation and school return.
  • Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) – A respiratory virus that can cause cough and wheezing in young kids and older adults.
  • Rhinovirus / Enterovirus – Causes colds and sometimes hand, foot, and mouth disease, especially in children.
  • Influenza A & B – Flu viruses that may benefit from early treatment to reduce severity and transmission.
  • Parainfluenza (Types 1–4) – Causes croup and hoarse cough, especially in young children during colder months.
  • RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) – Common in infants, RSV can lead to bronchiolitis or pneumonia.

Bacteria Detected

  • Group A Strep (Strep Throat) – A bacterial sore throat needing antibiotics to prevent complications like rheumatic fever.
  • Strep Groups C & G – Less common strep strains that still cause throat infections and may need treatment.
  • Chlamydia pneumoniae – A respiratory bug (not the STD) that can cause lingering sore throat and cough.
  • Mycoplasma pneumoniae – Often called “walking pneumonia,” this bacteria causes long-lasting cough and fatigue.
  • Bordetella pertussis (Whooping Cough) – A serious and contagious cough illness requiring early treatment to protect infants.
  • Bordetella parapertussis – Causing whooping cough that’s contagious and needs to be treated.

Strep Throat Results in Minutes — Not Days

Our rapid RT-PCR Strep Throat test detects Group A Strep (GAS) with exceptional accuracy—more reliable than standard rapid antigen tests.

Results are ready during your visit, so there’s no need to wait for culture results or delay treatment. You get the right diagnosis and the right care, right away.

Xpert® Xpress MVP »

  • Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
  • Candida species (yeast)
  • Trichomonas vaginalis

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)

  • Chlamydia – Very common and often silent. Easily treated with antibiotics.
  • Gonorrhea – May cause discharge or pain, but often has no symptoms. Treatable.
  • Trichomoniasis – A parasite that may cause itching or no symptoms at all.
  • HIV – A virus that weakens the immune system. Early detection means better long-term care.
  • Syphilis – Begins with a painless sore. Can be serious if not treated early.
  • Herpes (HSV) – Causes sores or mild symptoms. Still contagious even without outbreaks.
  • Hepatitis B & C – Viruses that affect the liver. Spread through blood, sex, or shared items.
  • Ureaplasma & Mycoplasma – Less-known bacteria that can cause burning, discharge, or irritation. Often missed without specific tests.

Additional in House Lab Tests

  • Urinalysis (UTI, pregnancy, drug screening)
  • Rapid mono and RSV testing
  • Blood glucose, A1c, and cholesterol
  • Rapid flu and strep testing
