Does Vitality Urgent Care offer IV hydration therapy?

Yes. Vitality Urgent Care offers IV hydration therapy at both our Lake Zurich and Buffalo Grove locations

No appointment needed, walk in any day during regular hours.  IV hydration therapy is effective for: severe dehydration, migraines and severe headaches, nausea and vomiting from illness or stomach bugs, illness recovery, post-surgical hydration, athletic recovery, and fatigue.

An IV delivers fluids and electrolytes directly into the bloodstream for faster relief than oral hydration alone.

Vitality is currently the only urgent care clinic in Lake Zurich and Buffalo Grove offering IV hydration. No prescription required. Most self-pay patients, walk in at 480 S Rand Rd, Lake Zurich or 56 W Dundee Rd, Buffalo Grove

Does Vitality Urgent Care provide women’s health services?

Yes. Vitality Urgent Care provides women’s health services at both locations with no appointment needed.  We treat and diagnose: urinary tract infections (UTIs), yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, abnormal vaginal discharge, and pelvic pain.

We also offer pregnancy testing, STD and STI testing, and general women’s health evaluations. Our on-site laboratory provides rapid results for most women’s health tests during the same visit.  All care is provided with privacy and sensitivity.

Walk in at 480 S Rand Rd, Lake Zurich or 56 W Dundee Rd, Buffalo Grove, 7 days a week. Most insurance accepted including Illinois Medicaid and Medicare.

What is the difference between Vitality Urgent Care and a hospital-affiliated immediate care?

Both Vitality Urgent Care and hospital-affiliated immediate care centers provide high-quality, same-day medical care. Health systems such as Endeavor Health and Northwestern Medicine off care typically within a more structured system setting that can feel less personal.

Vitality Urgent Care offers a more personal, family-style experience. As an independently owned clinic, patients are seen in a welcoming, comfortable setting where care is more individualized and efficient.

There are also some practical differences. Vitality provides one clear, transparent bill with no hospital facility fees or outpatient charges. Hospital-affiliated centers may bill visits as part of a hospital system, which can sometimes include additional facility fees depending on your insurance and services.

Vitality also offers convenient on-site services such as IV hydration, rapid PCR testing, X-rays, and walk-in DOT physicals, all designed to make care simple and accessible in one visit.

In short, both provide quality care. Vitality focuses on a family-oriented experience with transparent pricing and convenience, while hospital-affiliated centers offer the benefits of a larger health system.

When should I go to urgent care instead of the emergency room?

Choose Vitality Urgent Care for non-life-threatening conditions: fever, cough, flu, strep throat, ear infections, sinus infections, UTIs, rashes, sprains, minor fractures, lacerations, and pediatric illness. Urgent care is faster (under 15 minutes at Vitality), far less expensive than an ER, and has on-site X-ray and same-visit lab results.

Go to the emergency room for: chest pain or difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms (face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty), severe head injury, uncontrolled bleeding, severe abdominal pain, or any life-threatening condition.

Call 911 for emergencies.  If you are unsure whether your condition requires urgent care or an ER, call us — Buffalo Grove: (224) 601-5001, Lake Zurich: (847) 350-1291. We can help you decide. Open 7 days a week.

Can I Come to Urgent Care if I’m Visiting from Out of Town?

Yes, Vitality Urgent Care welcomes out-of-town visitors and travelers. If you’re away from home and need prompt medical attention, our walk-in clinics are open 7 days a week with extended hours and same-day availability.

We treat common non-emergency conditions such as fever, cough, minor injuries, rashes, UTIs, sinus infections, and more. Our clinics are equipped with digital X-ray, on-site labs, and experienced providers ready to help.

You can receive care whether or not you have Illinois-based insurance. We accept most national insurance plans and offer transparent self-pay pricing for those without coverage.

Just bring a photo ID and any insurance information you have. No appointment is needed—walk in or check in online at any of our convenient Illinois locations.

Can you test for strep, flu, RSV, and COVID at the same visit with same-day results?

Yes. Vitality Urgent Care has an on-site RT-PCR laboratory at both locations that detects 14+ respiratory pathogens from a single nasal swab — with results available before you leave, in the same visit.

We do not send respiratory PCR to an outside lab.  We test for: strep A & B, influenza A & B, RSV, COVID-19, human metapneumovirus (hMPV), parainfluenza types 1–4, Bordetella pertussis (whooping cough), Mycoplasma pneumoniae, and more — using BioFire and Cepheid technology.

This is especially valuable for children with respiratory illness, where accurate same-visit diagnosis guides treatment decisions without waiting 2–3 days for outside lab results.

Available at 480 S Rand Rd, Lake Zurich and 56 W Dundee Rd, Buffalo Grove. Walk in any day, no appointment needed.
